Hi, I’m Beth.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, EMDR Therapist, and mindfulness practitioner. I am Internal Family Systems and NeuroAffective Touch trained as well. I’m a St. Louis transplant, a corporate dropout, and a gatherer of experiences.
I am passionate about creating a safe environment to encourage healing, curiosity, and experimentation so you can increase confidence and resilience, as well as address and heal traumas. My grounding, calming, compassionate, and accepting presence creates a space for you to feel safe to explore the past as well as possibilities of other ways of being.
My clients typically see me weekly so they can have consistent support and gain some momentum as we work through trauma and experiment and make changes to better suit their lives. We will explore various ways to feel more at ease and resolve past painful events, using Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, art, nature, meditation, movement, and more. Every person is unique and it may take some experimentation to find the tools that work best for them. Therapy doesn’t have to be hard all the time. We are a team and I am here to support you and cheer you on.
My superpower is seeing your strengths, being curious about your experience, celebrating you, trusting your wisdom, and geeking out on psychology and the nervous system so I can continue to improve my ability to support you. In addition to being trauma-informed, I strive to be social justice informed.
This is Rumi, therapy dog. (they/she/he)
Rumi’s superpowers are greeting you with unapologetic enthusiasm and full-body wiggles, loving you as you are, and sitting next to you when you’re wishing for some extra puppy comfort.
Rumi is a therapy pup in training and is a graduate of Duo Dog's Touch Therapy program. Rumi is an ally of LGBTQIA+ and supports gender-expansive identities.
